Un rêve Libanais
a Lebanese dream
Un Rêve Libanais, which translates into A Lebanese dream is a political newspaper, written in French from start to finish, that was designed in parallel with an art installation for the senior student’s exhibition in Visual Arts at
Les Beaux Arts de Paris University, a famous art school in the heart of Paris.
This periodical is a satire, a graphical caricature of corrupted Lebanese politicians, and the party they belong to, in order to shed a light on corruption, power-hungry men and inequalities which are causing a drastic financial and economic crisis, the worse crisis the country has ever seen.
This is for the world to understand and take action against corruption and injustice, to fight for the Lebanese people.
This newspaper also showcases beautiful historically rich architectural spots in Lebanon, straight from the Ottoman Empire, to the devastation of the 4th of August 2020 explosion in Beirut that killed many loved ones, and destroyed a big part of the capital.
The art installation tackled different political, cultural and societal aspects of the collapse of the Lebanese economy, criticizing the political class for murdering, and taking advantage of an already unstable situation in the country.
It comes a year in the aftermath of the Beirut explosion on the 4th of August 2020.
It is also an ode to fight corruption that the Lebanese government has come to.
This is rebellion.
